Het ministerie van Binnenlandse Zaken heeft financi\u00ebn beschikbaar gesteld om tot 2030 een aantal wrakken te laten bergen. Momenteel voert het ministerie van Defensie deze bergingswerkzaamheden uit, in dit geval het bergingsteam van de luchtmacht.<br><br>Aangetroffen stoffelijke resten van omgekomen vliegers worden ge\u00efdentificeerd en aan hun dierbaren gegeven. Bovendien ruimt het bergingsteam munitieresten en andere gevaarlijke stoffen op. Maar de vliegtuigresten zijn ook cultureel erfgoed. Berging betekent, zoals bij iedere opgraving, vernietiging van de context. Alles staat of valt bij een adequate documentatie tijdens de werkzaamheden. In sommige gevallen zijn archeologen bij bergingsoperaties betrokken, maar lang niet altijd.<br><br>Op deze dag gaan sprekers vanuit verschillende disciplines en invalshoeken in op de mogelijkheden en uitdagingen die het bergen van vliegtuigwrakken met zich mee brengen. Ook is er aandacht voor het protocol vliegtuigbergingen dat door de ministeries van Defensie en OCW wordt opgesteld.<br><br>U kunt dit platform live of online bijwonen, dit geeft u aan bij het aanmelden.
